The Salvation Army of Marion and Polk Counties offers assistance to those in need through a variety of outreach efforts both in and outside of The Salvation Army Kroc Center. Additionally, The Salvation Army offers a variety of programs, services and assistance both nationally and globally that you may qualify for. If you or your family are in need of food boxes, shelter, or even if you're just looking for scholarships to The Kroc, you're in the right place.

Reduced Price Memberships
It is important to us at The Salvation Army Kroc Center that everyone, no matter their income level or social status, be able to attend and benefit from the life-changing opportunities available at The Kroc.
Through our Kroc Member Scholarship Program, we offer help to individuals and families who would like to become a member but may need financial assistance.
Family Services
THE FOLLOWING SERVICES ARE AVAILABLE:
- Emergency food boxes are available from 9AM–12PM, Monday - Friday.
- Financial Assistance, including rent/deposit, and utilities.
- Other immediate-needs assistance

Lighthouse Shelter
Since 1966, The Lighthouse Shelter has provided our community with emergency shelter to adult men and women looking to transition to self-sufficiency.
During their stay, residents have access to three meals a day, laundry facilities, showers, and a warm bed.
Each resident works with resident advocates who connects them with a community resources and helps combat barriers to self-sufficiency.

Christmas Assistance
The Salvation Army provides children and families in the Salem-Keizer area with a holiday food box and gifts. Salem-Keizer families may apply to receive toys and a Christmas food box. This program serves families in need who have children in the home ages 0–12.

Back to School Supplies Distribution
Each year, The Salvation Army helps children in Marion & Polk Counties start the school year with the right tools for success! You can donate basic supplies or monetary donations at the Kroc Center or at our Front Street location (1977 Front St. NE, Salem OR)
Back to school supplies distributed to families all over Marion and Polk Counties to students via partnering agencies.
If you would like to sponsor a child going back to school with confidence, contact Family Services at 503.798.4876.
