When you make any gift—money, time, or energy—to the Salem Kroc Center, you become a part of the largest project ever undertaken by The Salvation Army. Your gift becomes grounded in the reputation, trust and credibility of The Salvation Army—which is well known for its continuing efforts of providing relief to those in need.

The Salvation Army of Marion and Polk County, and the Ray & Joan Kroc Corps Community Center of Salem, embody the very best of The Salvation Army's service and mission impact for the 21st century. The Salvation Army is committed to producing tangible outcomes that will build character, confidence and competence in children and families of Marion & Polk Counties. The Kroc Community Centers purpose is to promote wellness, encourage excellence, build character and inspire faith. We work hard to accomplish this mission, but we couldn't do it without your help.

Our hearts are filled with so much gratitude for the love people pour out in this community through their generosity to The Salvation Army. We appreciate all of your support to The Salvation Army, and to the many people that are recipients of your love through such compassion. These are people that you may have never met, yet you gave of your time and your resources. You helped us provide food to those in need. You provided for families needing assistance with rent and utilities. You donated Christmas toys, Kroc Scholarships, school supplies, coats and so many other needed items for men, women and children. You made it possible for children to receive new school shoes. Each Christmas, so much love flows into the community in the form of food baskets and toys for the children.

By getting involved, your time, money, and generosity directly help those in need right here in your community. You make it happen!

Lighthouse Shelter

The Salvation Army of Marion and Polk Counties aims to meet people in their place of need physically, mentally, and spiritually without discrimination. The Lighthouse Shelter provides the opportunity for a safe and comfort- able place for residents to get back on their feet.
