Back-to-School Golf-a-thon 

Help The Salvation Army (TSA) of Marion-Polk Counties send local students back to school with new shoes, backpack, and school supplies.

Time/Date: Sunday, July 30, 3-6PM

The inaugural TSA Back-to-School Golf-a-thon fundraiser hosted by the Salem Kroc Center.

WILL YOU JOIN US TO HELP SUPPORT LOCAL STUDENTS?

The Salvation Army Kroc Center is proud to announce the first ever Back-to-School Golf-a-thon, set for Sunday, July 30, 2023. Our board members, advisors, and volunteers will ALL be working together to provide under-served Salem-Keizer area students everything they need to start the new school year in the Fall!

This annual Peer-to-Peer fundraiser has a proven track record, having raised millions of dollars in Oregon, to benefit the charitable work of ProFund clients. When you commit to self-sponsoring for at least $100, and then ask 25 to 35 friends to match that amount or do whatever they can, you can easily raise the individual pledge goal of $2500. In fact, many raise a lot more than that (with the ‘secret strategy” of self-sponsoring for more)! We also learned that this type of fundraising is not as hard as you might think.

We’ve created easy-to-use online tools for this campaign, and we'll handle all the communication and financial details for you. All we need you to do is reach out to people you know (email, text, etc.), ask them to sponsor you and log their pledge. If you use our “tips” & “tools” about 80% will pledge. That’s the secret sauce: People love to help people that are helping people.

Don't golf? Or can't be there on July 30th? No problem!

Topgolf is perfect for non-golfers to have a great time. Watch the video HERE to see for yourself. If you're busy on the day of the event or have a physical limitation, you could still help raise funds and we can have someone else take your place for golfing.
