Back to School Drive

Volunteer for the distribution of school supplies and new shoes to kids in Marion & Polk Counties. You will help grateful children pick their very own backpacks, supplies, and shoes to help them start the new school year prepared for success.

Kroc Scholarship Fund

Every life deserves to shine. No one in need is turned away from the life- changing opportunities at The Salvation Army Kroc Center through the Kroc Scholarship Program. With an average of 1,500 individuals on scholarship, this is by far The Kroc Center’s largest outreach and single greatest need for community support.

Lighthouse Shelter

The Salvation Army of Marion and Polk Counties aims to meet people in their place of need physically, mentally, and spiritually without discrimination. The Lighthouse Shelter provides the opportunity for a safe and comfort- able place for residents to get back on their feet.

How to Become a Volunteer

Becoming a volunteer is easy–start by filling out this form with your interests. Staff will provide volunteer assignment details and any additional training to all active volunteers, as necessary. Please note, the intake process can take up to one month. All applicants must be at least 16 years old.
